Marcel FERENCZ DLA Ybl Award, Pro Architectura Award, Prima Primissima Award winning Architect, Full Member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, Professor Habil. OE Ybl Miklós University Faculity of Architecture lead and owned NAPUR Architect Ltd since 2007.
He studied between 1993 and 1994 in the USA. He graduated with a diploma award in 1997. He has been a university professor since 2015. In 2010 and 2023, he was the lead architect of the exhibitions organized in the Hungarian Pavilion of the 12th and 18th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. Author architect of the Duna Arena, where the 2017 and 2019 World Swimming Championships were held in Budapest. Lead designer of the New Ethnographic Museum in Budapest, which won an international design competition in 2016. Since the building was handed over in 2022, it has won more than twenty international awards such as: INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE-, ARCHITIZER A+ Architecture + Facades and Architecture Museum Category, ICONIC-, DNA-, IFD-, BLT-, GDA-, IQD-, APCD-, LICC-, IPA World’s Best Architecture awards, and the TM – World’s Greatest Places, WTA Europe Best Touristic development Project. In 2018, he won the national design competition for the National Athletic Stadium in Budapest. He is the lead designer of the stadium handed over for the 2023 World Athletics Championship.
