CÉCILE BRISAC

Cécile founded Atelier Brisac in London and Paris in 2019. She studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, graduating in 1995, and worked in several offices in France, the UK and the USA prior to co-founding Brisac Gonzalez in 1999, which she co-directed for over 20 years.

Her interest in creating and sense of social responsibility has steered her to design purposeful and uplifting buildings with care. With a long experience in public and private regenerative designs in France, the UK and Scandinavia, she has a broad understanding of organisational cultures and their needs.

She is the recipient of several awards, such as the NAJA Young Architects’ award in France, the ARHVA Award for Women Architects in France, and the AJ 40 under 40 Award in the UK. She is a regular lecturer and visiting critic at various universities, taught at the Architectural Association where she is an external examiner, and was a member of the Southwark Design Review Panel for 12 years. She is a member of RIBA, the Architecture Club, the Ordre des Architectes and the Royal Academy of Belgium.
