ZORAN ABADIĆ

Associate Professor / University of Belgrade, Faculty of Architecture. Founder and Chief Architect / 1X2STUDIO. Zoran Abadić was born in Belgrade in 1969. He graduated from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture in 1997 and received his master’s degree from the same faculty in 2016 in the field of Architectural and Urban Design with the thesis: . Since 2000, he has been employed at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade at the Department of Architectural and Urban Design, since 2010 as an assistant professor and since 2020 as an associate professor at the Department of Architecture. He founded the independent architectural practice 1X2STUDIO in 2005 in Belgrade. Professional practice, scientific and professional-artistic engagement is largely related to research and development of programs, design and implementation of housing and judicial facilities of the Republic of Serbia. He has won several public recognitions and awards at national and international architectural competitions in which he continuously participates. He is the author of the monograph ELEMENTS-thinking of realization and models (Belgrade 2010. UB-AF Belgrade) and co-author of the professional monograph Instructions for defining the model of the type court for the Basic and Higher Court of the Republic of Serbia (Belgrade 2014. Grafolik). The works have been exhibited and presented at national and international professional gatherings, conferences and exhibitions in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Paris, Podgorica, Banja Luka, Skopje, Ljubljana, Barcelona and published in several professional national and international publications, monographs, magazines and catalogs. He is a member of: UAS, DAB, ULUPUDS, IKS, MENSA.
