ROBERT KLUN

Robert graduated at university of architecture and design in Ljubljana in 1999. During study he was working with several influential professors as P. Mc Keith from Helsinki, P. Gabrijelčič from Ljubljana, prof. B. Podrecca from Vienna and won several architectural prizes for his work. After graduation he joined upholstery manufacturing company KLUN AMBIENTI owned by his father at that time and later, in year 2000, took over the leadership of the company. KLUN AMBIENTI is leading company in R&D segment of designing upholstery furniture and interior design.

In 2006 Robert Klun was selected for president of Slovenian design association. For 7 years he was leading organization as youngest president in the history. During his professional work experience, he was invited in regional associations for Development and Economy: IDCO – Chamber of Commerce in 2003, CEED Slovenia in 2008, Serbian architectural and design organisation in 2012.

In 2012 he established consortium under umbrella of MAGNET DESIGN studio. Within this consortium he started to support and include projects of Slovenian economy, mostly on the field of construction, wood furniture and architecture.

Robert is working as an architect, designer, investor, entrepreneur on the field of real-estate, urbanism, architectural, design and development projects. His interior design and architecture work are going across European boarders and his team is designing projects in GCC Region. MAGNET DESIGN has successfully completed projects as: Canary Hills Compound in KSA, Marriot Hotel in Riyadh, Starwood Aloft in Riyadh and Dhahran.

In beginning of 2019 his architectural studio won tender for concept design of Slovenian pavilion at EXPO 2020 Dubai.
