Jovan Mitrović (1956), graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Belgrade in 1980. Completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade in 1988-1991, course “Housing”, obtained the title of Specialist with the topic “Recovery of apartments in Portugal – SAAL operations”. He also completed specialist studies in Portugal in 1985-1986. It is focused on the design of cultural buildings, commercial and residential buildings, reconstruction and revitalization of heritage. Special interest is focused on ecological and economic sustainability in architecture, on a responsible approach to nature and the environment. He is the author of a large number of completed buildings, the most important of which are: residential buildings in Heroja Tepića Street, Brzakova Street and Lazarevacka Street, a house/studio in Senjačka Street, reconstruction and revitalization of the Nebojša Tower and part of the Coastal Wall, a gymnasium within the First Obrenovac Elementary School, family residential house in Voždovac with selective use of recycled materials from the old building. He is the winner of numerous awards at international and domestic architectural and urban planning competitions and awards in practice, among which the most significant are: four Grand-Prix Architecture Salons, Award of the City of Belgrade, Annual Award of SAS, Borbina Award for Architecture, Award of the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Belgrade, Award Chamber of Commerce of Yugoslavia, Two Annual Awards to Ranko Radović. At the recently held competition with the international jury for the ECO Center of the Balkans on the site of the former Beobank, i.e. ENERGOPROJEKTA on Zeleni Venac, Jovan Mitrović and his office “Architectural Studio LFG (Living Future Green)” received the first prize.
